So I have been going to Surrey Athletics for the past few years and as I have been going I started my journey into videography. This is my very first attempt at filming, directing, lighting and editing on my own for someone else. All my previous videos are just using action cams mostly and trying to capture some of the adventures I get to do. I had a 2 week period in which to film which took roughly 3 hours as well as edit the entire video while learning how to use Adobe Premiere Pro. To say it was challenging while doing my sales job is an understatement. It is a pretty unreal feeling to learn on the fly while filming and editing and having a 2 week deadline but my life in sales has prepared me for the pressure of working in a crunch. Corporations do not care about excuses they only care about results which in a way is a great tool to learn while venturing into your own business. While I am in no rush to give up my day job I absolutely loved this experience. I was blown away by the amount of lines Brittany could just remember and keep a flow going. It was impressive. I have gone through acting school and felt like I was filming someone who had been doing this for years. If there was an error she was not thrown off she just reset and kept composure and it was impressive. I hope to get there myself one day but she is a natural on camera. This is an experience I hope to replicate for our next video and if you want to check it out it is on my video section on here. I definitely need to refine some things going forward but it was a run and gun scenario and I will keep learning.
